Virtual Infrastructure

Dewpoint will ensure that your servers deliver maximum performance with minimal, simplified administration. Using VMware Virtual Infrastructure, we enable Intel-compatible operating systems to run as virtual machines inside a larger, physical server. Because servers are usually under-utilized, VMware can often run four to six servers per processor in the physical server, lowering your data-center requirements for space, power, and cooling. Other benefits include eliminating hardware maintenance downtime by moving virtual machines to another server, and faster system and disaster recovery because servers become just a set of files on a disk.

High Availability & Remote Servers

Some applications require very high service levels that may strain a single server system. Dewpoint is experienced in designing and implementing cluster systems to take over an application in case the primary system fails. In some cases, applications can be run in parallel on multiple systems.

Remote server clusters protect against site failure and application failure, where clustering software is combined with data replication software to restart an application in a remote location. These clusters are a more complex configuration, but provide an additional level of application availability.
