Integration Projects Founded

Integration Projects founded with 11 employees committed to providing the best IT services at competitive rates to their clients

Implemented a “Work Hard/Play Hard” culture

2000

Dewpoint “Name”

Merged with VCSI to expand client base.

Changed name to Dewpoint to reflect the combination of Integration Projects and VCSI

2005

Focus on Government Solutions

Acquired Strategic Advantage to further expand services and client base.

Started Dewpoint Government Solutions to focus specifically on State and local government clients.

2014

Moved to Knapp’s Building in Downtown Lansing

Moved headquarters to Knapp’s Building in Downtown Lansing to be closer to clients and have space for continued growth

Professional staff increased to over 100 employees

2015

Acquired by Delta Dental of Michigan

Became a DDMI subsidiary

Bob Bartholomew

President & Chief Executive Officer

Bob Bartholomew has over 35 years of experience in the IT industry and has worked with global organizations including Amerisure, Chrysler Financial, Electronic Data Systems, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Dewpoint.

Bob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Ferris State University.

On the weekend, you’ll find Bob outside – hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, downhill skiing – if it’s outdoors, he’ll be more than happy to join.

Jerry Steenson

SVP Service Delivery

Jerry Steenson has worked in the IT space for 37 years with Electronic Data Systems, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, DXC Technology, and Dewpoint. He has a long, distinguished track record in managing IT delivery teams in the USA and abroad, driving customer success through service excellence and technology enablement. He makes IT personal through his relationship building with his team and customers.

Jerry earned his degree in Industrial Engineering with an additional concentration in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska.

Jerry’s passion is spending time with family and friends and working to make improvements. On the weekend, he likes helping family and friends with projects or doing his own in the yard, garage, or inside the house. Afterward, he enjoys grilling and chilling, especially those days he can root on his Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Fun fact: Jerry has worked in 17 countries across four continents, including Korea and the Netherlands.

Joe Findlater

Joe Findlater has over 30 years of experience in the IT space with Electronic Data Systems and Dewpoint.

Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Managerial Economics from Central Michigan University.

Joe serves on the Mid-Michigan American Red Cross Board of Directors. He enjoys traveling and rooting for the Michigan State Spartans.

Julie Berger

Chief Financial Officer

Julie Berger has been with Dewpoint since 2000 and took on the Chief Financial Officer role in 2022.

Julie earned her degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Outside of work, Julie loves vacationing with family and hiking in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula outside of work.

Fun Fact: Julie is a triathlete.

Matt Scott

VP Marketing & Business Development

Matt Scott has over 25 years of experience in the IT field with EDS, HP, Accenture, and Dewpoint.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Marketing Management from Northwood University.

Spending time at the lake is Matt’s favorite pastime. He loves hanging out on the water, completing projects, exercising, and chopping firewood for the coming winter.

Matt’s favorite movie is Caddyshack – “The world needs ditch diggers, too.”

Renée Roth

Renée Roth has held roles in HR for 16 years and has worked for distinguished organizations like Dart Container, UCLA, and Bank of America.

Renée earned her degree in Communications from California State University, Northridge. She is an expert gardener and doesn’t talk about Fight Club – (but loves the movie).

If Renée is out of office, odds are she’s enjoying time in ‘Vacationland’ – Maine.

Brent Olivier

Brent Olivier has worked in the IT space for over 15 years with IBM, Southern Company, Spartan Motors, AF Group, and Dewpoint.

Brent earned his degree in Applied Engineering Science with concentrations in Business and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.

The Upper Peninsula is Brent’s happy place. He loves working outdoors, watching and playing sports, exercising, and refining his nutrition.

Kelly Schafka

Kelly Schafka has over ten years of IT experience with TEKsystems, Deloitte, and Dewpoint.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Master’s in Educational Technology from Michigan State University.

Spending time with family is the most important thing to Kelly. She loves trying new things and making unique cookie creations with her kids. Ask Kelly about her favorite plays and what books she’s read lately.

Fun Fact: Kelly’s favorite movie is A League of Their Own.

Joe Old

Joe Old has over 30 years of experience in IT with Electronic Data Systems, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Nexteer Automotive, and Dewpoint.

Joe earned his degree in Automated Manufacturing from the ITT Technical Institute.

The Great Outdoors is Joe’s happy place – he loves hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. His TV is probably tuned to sports or hunting and fishing shows.

Mike Coyne

Mike Coyne has more than 30 years of experience in IT with Electronic Data Systems, Symantec, and Dewpoint.

Mike earned his degree from Central Michigan University.

He enjoys hunting Whitetail Deer and rooting for the University of Michigan Wolverines. Mike coaches the 5th and 6th-grade basketball teams for Portland St. Patrick and is an assistant coach for their varsity football team.

Mike’s favorite movie: My Cousin Vinny.

Tim Mentus

Tim Mentus has over 35 years of experience in IT and is one of the founding members of Dewpoint, starting with the company in 1996.

Tim earned his degree in Electronics Engineering from the ITT Technical Institute.

When Tim is out of the office, you’ll find him enjoying the fresh air in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He loves to camp, fish, bike, and kayak.

Todd Staudacher

Todd Staudacher has over 25 years of IT experience with Parametric Technology, Technical Solutions, and Dewpoint.

Todd earned his degree in Marketing from Grand Valley State University.

You’ll find Todd up north, golfing, spending time by the lake, or rooting for his Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Don Cornish

Chief Information Security Officer

Don Cornish has over 35 years of experience in IT and 20 plus years of experience in IT security. He has worked with global companies, state government agencies, and now, Dewpoint.

Don has an undergraduate degree in Applied Science, a graduate degree in Education, and a graduate degree in Computing.

Creating and traveling are two of Don’s passions. He enjoys woodworking, lead lighting, leather work, and embarking on global adventures.

Karen Buckwalter

EPMO & OCM Lead

Karen Buckwalter has worked in the IT space for over 25 years and has over 30 years of program, project, and organizational change management experience. Before joining Dewpoint, she worked with several organizations including MERS of Michigan, the State of Michigan, and Electronic Data Systems.

“I’ve always been a change agent, and as Dewpoint’s Change Management Practice Lead, I help clients navigate the people side of change to drive success and maximize their return on investment.”

Karen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

In her free time, Karen loves taking road trips, spending time with family and friends, fitness training, and trying new recipes.

Forrest Gump and The Terminator are tied for her favorite movie.

John Varilek

John Varilek has over 40 years of experience in the Information Technology field, primarily serving manufacturing and insurance clients and performing various leadership roles, including account management, service delivery, and sales.

John studied at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Fishing and woodworking are John’s passions, and he hopes this is the year for his favorite team, the Detroit Lions.

Lewis Jones III

Lewis Jones III has over 35 years of experience in IT with companies including Packard Electric, Electronic Data Systems, HP, and Dewpoint.

Lewis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Youngstown State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan – Flint.

Sports are close to Lewis’ heart – particularly the Cleveland Browns and the film, Remember the Titans. He enjoys spending time with his family and trips to Las Vegas and Southern California.

Ron Curcio

Ron Curcio has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years. He has provided exceptional delivery results with a keen focus on client success management for Electronic Data Systems, HP, DXC Technology, and Dewpoint.

Ron earned his degree in Applied Science from Michigan State University.

In Ron’s opinion, the best film of all time is The Godfather; “Leave the gun, take the cannolis.” – Clemenza. He loves golf, cycling, kayaking, hiking, and relaxing on the beautiful West Michigan coast with his family.

Eric Frieman

Eric Freiman has 34 years of experience in IT. He has proved his commitment to delivery excellence at Electronic Data Systems, HP, DXC Technology, and now, Dewpoint.

Eric earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

When the clock reads 3:30 AM, Eric heads to the gym to care for his mind and body. He’s a model train enthusiast and would love to tell you about his HO scale layout. Eric has two grandkids that hold the keys to his heart.
