F/m Acceleration is an investment management company providing portfolio managers with institutional-grade investment systems, business operations, and marketing support.
F/m had a manual system for interacting with their data. It involved receiving lengthy, poorly formatted trade files that
needed to be parsed for information. Dewpoint was asked to automate the system of data manipulation
We began with discussing requirements with F/m critical stakeholders to determine needs and their vision for a
better system. Using experience and knowledge of the best new technologies, our developers created a new system
to manipulate data and automate data movement and reporting. Dewpoint set up an organization for F/m in the
Power Platform and an Azure SQL database. Within this organization, we configured a development and production
environment. Throughout the project, Dewpoint held recurring meetings with F/m to provide status updates and live
demonstrations allowing F/m to give us feedback to ensure the end product met their requirements.
Dewpoint completed a Power Application for F/m to create, read, update, and delete its data. Information previously
gathered from lengthy files containing (on average) around 200 daily trades is automatically uploaded to a database
for employees to review in this Power App daily. In addition, we automated the manual reports created from this data,
eliminating manual intervention and reducing the time spent on tedious tasks.
