Last Sunday, the Dewpoint Executive Team made the responsible decision to cancel our in-person holiday party and switch to a virtual event due to the increase in covid cases. The switch to the virtual event included contacting the University Club of Michigan State University and working through the logistics of changing the menu from dinner to a “take-out” meal with just a two-day notice. The University Club team didn’t hesitate to assist and came up with options, including a hot meal, cold meal, and dessert. They were also still able to accommodate any special dietary needs.
In addition, the University Club team set up a station at the Club’s front door allowing the Dewpoint “Elves” to hand out the meals to the employees as they drove through the main entrance. Since some of the Dewpoint employees could not make it to the University Club, extra meals were donated and delivered to the staff at Sparrow Hospital. Thanks to the University Club team and the quick thinking of our Executive Team, the virtual holiday event turned into a positive experience for everyone involved.
